Karomah's Working Day!


  Karomah is the student of SMK Negeri 11 Jakarta. For about 70 percent of the time, I deal with school lessons and consultasion with teachers. Every year I received report card for 6 months of study result.

When I was at home in krendang barat 1, Jakarta. I wake up at 5.00 am. on school day and 6.00 am. on school holiday. My father worked as a private employees and my mother was a trader.

In the morning I prepare at 5.40 am. and then go to school to SMK Negeri 11 Jakarta.

I arrived at 6.10 am. At school i met with my teachers and friends. And we studied together in class X. Akl 1.

I left school at 3.00 pm. and I immediatly rested when i arrived home. Then I take a shower. After that I watched TV and did shchool assignments. Finished that I went to bed to woke up doing that again.

   On weekends i always do homework, help with home work and spend time with family.

FORMING PASSIVE WITH MODALS

Quick Exercise

Put the following sentences into passive voice. (Modals)
 

1.   We may ask him a few questions.  
      Passive : A few questions may be asked of him.

2.   I can manage a motor car.

      Passive : A motor car can be managed.

3.   You must inquire the way.

      Passive : The way must be inquired.

4.   He might give you a chance.

      Passive : A chance might be given.

5.   I could show you his house if you would permit me.

      Passive : His house can be shown to you if you would permit me.

6.   I should enjoy a sea-voyage

      Passive : A sea-voyage should be enjoyed.

FORMING SIMPLE FUTURE PASSIVE

Quick Exercise

Put the following sentences into passive voice. (will future passive) 

1.  Will he pick up the kids tommorow?

     Passive : Will the kids be picked up by him tommorow?

2.  The next earthquake will destroy the city. 

     Passive : The city will be destroyed by the next earthquake.

3.  Jane will buy a new computer.

     Passive : A new computer will be bought by Jane.

4.  Millions of people will visit the museum.

     Passive : The museum will be visited by millions of people.

5.  Will the company employ a new worker?

     Passive : Will a new worker be employed by the company?

6.  They will not show the new film.

     Passive : The new film will not be showed by them.

7.  Our boss will sign the contract.

     Passive : The contract will be sign by our boss.

8.  Her boyfriend will instal it.

     Passive : It will be installed by her boyfriend.

9.  Will the plumber repair the shower ?

     Passive : Will the shower be repaired by the plumber?

10. He wont see Sue.

     Passive : Sue will not be seen by him.
